Scene: Alpha Nu Epilision Fraternity Party
Buffy couldn't believe that Riley took her to this party. Riley was nice to her and everything, but she didn't get a sense of...Well, he was not Angel frankly. She was beginning to think that no one would light that fire for her, after Angel.
"Hey, Buffy, you okay."
"Yeah, I'm fine. You never told me, why you bought me here?" Buffy asked Riley.
"Well, Buffy, I think you are well the prettiest girl that I've met frankly."
"Riley, I'm thirsty. Would you mind getting me a drink."
"Of, course." Riley said.
"Good heavens, what a bore." Buffy thought to herself. Why had she been having a string of bores for dates. Riley seemed to be nice, but there was something lacking in him. Then she heard a familiar voice.

"Luv, don't get me going."
"My name is Carmen. What's yours?"
"William, but you can call me Spike. Everyone does."
"Oh, I like that. Such a different nickname."
Buffy couldn't believe that Spike was there of all people. This was supposed to be a night of fun, not...well one with Spike. Why did it have to happen to her of all people?
"Hello, Spike. How are you?" Buffy said knowing this would annoy to him to no end.
"Buffy, it's good to see you again." Spike said thinking "Of all the rotten things in the world to happen to him. Why him?"
"Spike, who's this?" Carmen said eyeing Buffy.
Buffy didn't like the red-head girl at all. She was too much of a bimbo.
"My name's Buffy. Me and Spike are old friends."
Then Riley came in. This was not looking good.
"Hey, Buffy who's this?" Riley asked her.
Spike didn't like this wanker. What was the slayer doing with this loser? Angel was better than this loser.
"I'm Spike. Who are you?"
"Riley's the name. I tell you Buffy, the losers that..."
"Spike's no loser. Come on Spike, let's dance." Carmen said.
Carmen and Spike began to dance. Buffy was seething with jealousy. She hated Spike. Why did she feel so jealous about this?
"Buffy are you feeling okay?" Riley asked her.
"I'm fine Riley. Oh thank you for the drink." Buffy said gulping down the drink.
"Wow Buffy. Do you want to dance?" Riley asked her.
"I'd love to dance Riley."
The Slayer looked like she was enjoying that bloody wankers company. Carmen was okay. She was going to... Then they bumped into each other.
"Watch it Spike." Buffy said.
"Stay within your own zone."
"Why you..."
"What is it with you and these bloody losers."
"Loser, I'll show you." Riley said. "No, Spike likes to hang out with bimbos."
"Bimbo, why you..."
"Oh, look she actually can speak, Spike." Buffy said.
"Buffy..."
"Spike..."
"I'm going home, Riley. Care to take me home?"
"No."

"Come on Spike." Carmen said.
"No" Spike said. He was going to have a talk with the ernstwhile Slayer.

Scene: Cemetary-The Next Evening
"Oh, yes, another vampire goes down." Buffy said happily. It was Spike's fault that she had a miserable time. Damn him.
"Hello, pet. I see you went patrolling without me."
"Go away."
"Listen here, Slayer. I didn't like what happened between us at all. You ruined the chance for a good meal."
"In that bimbo's case, she deserved to be eaten."
"Why can't you be nice to me, Slayer?"
"Oh. I'm hurt. Then answer me this question, Spike. Why are you at everyplace that I go to."
"Why were you at that party with that loser?"
"Why were you at that party with that bimbo?"
"His name is Riley and he is so sexy."
"I was with Carmen. She knows what she wants, unlike you."
"I know, what I want Spike."
"Which would be what?" Spike said irriated at the slayer.
"For you to get out of my life."

Scene: Sunnydale University
"Willow, the look on Spike's face was priceless."
"Buffy have you ever real reason, you hate Spike so much."
"No, I don't. I see him enough as it is Willow."
"Maybe you feel attracted to Spike and don't want to admit it."
"I will admit that Spike is sexy. That ass of his and those lips..."
"See, Buffy how you felt, when you just admitted it. Didn't it feel good."
"I said he was sexy, Willow. His personality and attitude on the other hand need a major adjustment."
"Buffy, what's going on between you and Riley."
"Nothing, Willow. Riley's nice and all, but he's..."
"Not Angel. Well at least you and Angel have one thing in common."
"What's that?"
"You two are currently unattached."
"Great, why do I have a thing for the undead."
"I don't know" Willow said thinking it was time she intervened with some magic. Giles said not to play with it. This was for a good cause, she wanted to see her best friend be happy.

Scene: Buffy and Willow's dorm room
Willow was so glad when Buffy left, so she could perform the spell. It was a friendship spell. Then Willow heard a knock on the door. It was Oz, he surprised her.
"Oz, what are you doing here? I thought you were in L.A."
"Well let's say a demon showed up and well thanks to Angel and Cordelia, we had to alter our plans a bit."
"I'm so happy you came to see me. Oz, I love you."
Oz and Willow then kissed one another.
"Willow, I see you are at your magic again."
"I can explain, Oz."
"Please, do."
"Buffy and Spike are fighting with one another. I'll tell you everything."
Two hours later...
"Willow, don't do magic on the two of them. You have to let them work their problems out on their own."
"Oz..."
"No buts, Willow."
"Fine."

Scene: Sunnydale University Library
Buffy had an English exam. She didn't like the novel "Ethan Frome" very much. He was an interesting character.
Then she saw him. What was he doing here? Why did she always have to keep running into him? She grabbed her books and decided to leave before Spike could follow her.
"Slayer, I never took you for the studious type."
"Go away, Spike. I really have to study."
"Buffy..." Spike grabbed her hand.
"Please, let go of my hand, Spike." Buffy said before he touched her cheek.
"Buffy, please don't go. We have a lot to discuss."
"I need to get some sleep Spike. I do have exams."
"Buffy, timing is everything." Spike said as he pulled the blonde slayer into his arms and gave her a long passionate kiss.
